Introduction

After taking a blogging hiatus due to lack of time, I have decided to implement my blog at grahamallen.net once again. A lot has changed in the two years since I last actively blogged. I have a wonderful wife and an amazing son who I have the pleasure of spending a majority of my spare time with. With that in mind, this iteration of the blog will likely see less activity than the last.

After watching my Bolts fall to the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals, I felt it was time to recreate a spot where I can articulate my thoughts at length, not only on sports, but also on matters of life, the arts, philosophy, politics and the world in general. Though I love my Twitter and Facebook accounts, the blog will be a much more appropriate way to share my perspective and my thoughts with friends, family and anyone else who might find it interesting, noteworthy or worthwhile.

My first order of business will be to discuss the magic that the Tampa Bay Lightning showed us this season and what the future holds for our team in the off-season and into next season. Despite the fresh disappointment, this team showed a lot of spirit and potential to keep playing at a high level for a number of years to come.

I hope that the time I take to share and open up with the world in this space brings value to a few, if not the many.
